/Site-specific installations exhibited at Home is something I carry with me
951 Shotwell, curated by Adrienne Skye Roberts

/Throughout the residence (also the exhibition space), masculine and feminine objects were cataloged. Selected couples have been displaced, based on color, form, function, proportion and location, to reveal and dislodge commonalities. These site-specific installations respond to perceptual, spatial, and social disruptions within existing site conditions. To heighten an awareness of overlooked networks within the everyday environment, household items are re-aligned through translation, resulting in a shifted legibility. Drawing upon the use of my maternal language (French) and familiar objects, altered pairings re-present physical prescriptions and gender normatives, by reorganizing the unnoticed and exposing distorted relationships within the scale of the home.
